At younger ages, students are divided into classes based solely on age. If a student is greatly excelling in a class and seems socially and behaviorally ready to move to the class above their actual age, this may only be discussed following a Staff Member’s initiation of the topic.

As students get older, they are divided into classes based on age and dance ability. The Studio Director and Staff work with parents and students to determine the appropriate classes for each dancer. Students should always be taking class at a level that is fun and non-frustrating, but at the same time challenging, educational, and inspiring.

For adult classes with multi-levels, you may choose the level that you feel most comfortable with. No instructor approval is needed.

In order to wear Pointe shoes during ballet class, students must first receive instructor approval. This is to protect dancers from injury.
